Lot 355 Converted British Barnett Musket

Converted British Barnett Musket #600, .70 cal., 19.75"shortened barrel, smoothbore, blued finish, hardwood stock with single rammer pipe, modified blade front sight, and fixed rear sight with "U"-notch. Marked "BARNETT/LONDON" on lock plate, with crowned proof and inspection stamps on left side of the barrel. Condition overall is fair, with wear and dark patina to the metal. The barrel shank, tang, and nipple lump are lightly pitted and have been cleaned. Wood is fair; forend was broken off and reattached behind the rammer pipe, the surrounding area has a darker color. Hammer operates smoothly and holds on half and full-cock. Est.: $300-$500.
